What are Subliminal Messages?

Subliminal messages are stimuli designed to pass below the normal limits of perception. They are intended to influence individuals' thoughts, behaviours, or emotions without the person being consciously aware of the message. They can either be visual or auditory.

Visual Subliminals:

• Hidden Images: These are images embedded within other visuals, flashed so quickly that they are not consciously perceived. For example, a single frame in a film or a quick overlay in advertising.

• Masked Images: Images that are obscured by another image or pattern, making them difficult to detect consciously.

Auditory Subliminals:

• Backmasking: Reversing audio messages so that they are not immediately understandable but may be picked up by the subconscious.

• Embedded Messages: Words or phrases inserted at low volumes beneath the primary audio track, such as in music or advertisements.
